  • Sana'a: Embassy Suspends Consular Services

    Embassy Sanaa has suspended consular operations in Yemen. The Embassy may be unable to provide assistance or services to U.S. citizens, even in an emergency situation. If you must travel to or remain in Yemen, please register with the State Department’s online Smart Traveler Enrollment Program as soon as possible.   • Almaty: Embassy Launches "One Victory" World War II Comemmoration

    The U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan has launched a series of programs under the title “One Victory” to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Allied Victory in the Second World War. The events are aimed at celebrating the WWII era and honoring the generation of Kazakhstanis and Americans whose sacrifices and struggles made victory possible, as well as supporting local organizations to record and preserve veterans' stories 

  • Harare: U.S. Hip Hop outfit on tour

    Next Level is an initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in association with the Department of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through hip hop music and dance, Next Level fosters cross-cultural creative expression and exchange in diverse and underserved communities. 

  • Abu Dhabi: Application Period for 2016 Fulbright Programs (PDF)

    UAE nationals are invited to apply for a Fulbright Scholarship for graduate study in the USA. Full funding will be granted for up to two years of study in a master’s program. The application deadline is May 17. 

  • Vientiane: English Program Joins U.S., Laos, and Brunei

    The United States, Brunei and Laos will provide English language training to Lao officials to help them prepare for Laos’ chairmanship of ASEAN in 2016.
